When will I get my tax refund?

Much depends on the IRS processing centers. We know that electronically filed individual income tax returns using the “Direct Deposit” method are the quickest. Once you have received an acknowledgement of the acceptance of your tax return, by the IRS Service Center where you are filing, you can expect the deposit at your bank within two to three weeks. Look for your deposit to be posted on a Monday.  

Keep in mind that if you owe taxes, child support and some other debt, the IRS may keep your refund and apply it to these debts. Errors in your tax return can also delay processing of your personal income tax return and subsequently your refund.
